Very much the same procedural experience as the previous reviews. Get there 30min early, wait, line up, wash hands, hand over phone, elevator, ticket, waiting, waiting, finger prints and files, waiting, waiting, waiting, interview, done. Felt like forever and a minute at the same time.

Everyone at the consulate was incredibly nice the whole way through. The interview went for maybe 10-15 minutes and I was really only asked about our relationship, where we met etc, plans for the wedding, where I'll be living and then told me it was accepted.

Worst part by and large was the waiting factor and stifling my excitement (and maybe a tear or two) as I went back down the elevator with the worker who first took my finger prints and files.

Really simple experience.
My appt was for 0830, I arrived at 0800. I was asked to wait outside until 0815.
Once I was called up, I was then directed to wash my hands in the bathroom and then to sanitise them again before going through security.
I only brought my phone and documents with me, my phone was handed in.
Directed into the elevator, arrived to the interview room.
Took a number and waited to be called up. Questions were asked in a casual conversation manner, nothing too crazy or unexpected was asked.
He congratulated me at the end and said I was approved and to keep an eye out for my package in the mail.

My experience at the US Consulate in Sydney was pretty positive. Had to wash our hands and then sanitise before entering, and my phone was put in a little bag and I was given a number to collect it after the interview. Process took a bit longer than I expected but wasn't an extremely long time. Fingerprint scans and a few questions while they looked at my documents and then I was approved. They said my passport should arrive back to me in 10-15 days. My interviewer was quite friendly and I didn't feel too nervous thanks to that.

The interview process was exactly as the previous reviews. Line up at security, not to long to wait, go down and wash your hands, turn off your phone and smart watch. You are given a blue satchell to put your small belongings such as phone, keys, watch etc. you are directed to a desk to have your docs checked and placed in a clear envelope and handed back to you. You head through the metal detector (same as airport security) You are guided to elevator and a security officer presses the button. You leave the elevator, turn right, go through a very heavy door. Once in the ‘inner’ sanctum you take a number and seat. Once called up, you hand over the docs, finger prints are taken, you then take a seat to wait for the interview. The interview is conducted through the glass petition similar to the bank tellers. Providing all your docs are in order and the affidavit of support is sufficient, the actual interview is a breeze. You just need to be truthful about your ... read complete review

Apologies for the very late review for this!

The entire experience was EXACTLY as the previous reviews stated; Security, elevators, the waiting room, the bank teller style windows you stand at for the actual questioning. I think we waited about half an hour.

We were asked all the usual questions; when did you meet? How did you meet? When did you decide to marry? What do your parents think? The interviewer was polite bordering on friendly. The folks he saw before us actually made a big deal of their really obvious problem not making sense to them (the man was sure that threats of a letter to his governor was going to change the fact that the fiance vise they'd applied for was no longer valid as they married while they were waiting for the interview date????) I think he was in good spirits once we walked up to the window.

He looked over the case, smiled, and told us we were approved. We went down the elevator and had some ... read complete review
